  1. Transfer downloaded ROM and Gapps ZIP files on the device root folder for easy access later on.
  2. Turn OFF device and boot into recovery mode.
  3. On recovery menu take a full Nandroid backup by choosing “Backup” option.
  4. Perform wiping task, on recovery menu select Advance option > then Dalvik cache, System, Data, Cache, confirm all.
  5. On recovery menu select “Install” then select and confirm ROM.ZIP file.
  6. Repeat step 5 and select Gapps.ZIP file this time and confirm it.
  7. After installations reboot device, from recovery menu select “Reboot”.

  • This sucks because it isn’t any ZTE device. I got a Citrine and I am afraid to even try this. I saw 4gb internal devices on Best Buy that haves Marshmallow running on it. So for people to say this device is not capable to run Marshmallow is stupid. You don’t have this much strictness on Windows or Apple OS. This is just stupid to keep people from updating the OS. Pay more to get the latest OS on smartphones is pathetic. I got a laptop from 2009 that can run the latest Windows 10. So it makes no sense to keep techies from updating without paying more money for the OS update. Not everyone in the world is made out of money. Sucks for the budgeted in mind people.
