Steps to Update Ascend Mate 7 MT7-TL10 to EMUI 4.0 B514 Marshmallow.
- Download the required firmware package from the link provided.
- Then extracted the downloaded “zip” file at your PC, you will get update.app file in the extracted material.
- Connect Mate 7 to your PC properly. Then move the entire extracted contents to SD-card. Inside dload folder already exist. If dload not exist there then first create it.
- Wait for copying and then unplug Mate 7 from the PC.
- Now turn off Mate 7 completely. Then boot while press and hold the buttons VOL UP+ VOL DOWN+ POWER
- That will trigger force update. Wait for process completion and then auto reboot.

Hi can you help here , just upgraded from MT7-TL10 B511 now I’m on MT7-TL10C185B514 so 1. I seem not to find that feature where there’s guest loggin for privacy and 2. I see there’s two emie numbers is it supposed to be like that

Hi Boity! Upgrading from b511 to b514 was just a big mistake fellow Huawei lover, I previously had red eyes ? when i pushed in b514 only to find out that it wasn’t stable, misbehaving and all those kind of staff. The feature for Administrator and guest is not included in Marshmallow, only in Lollipop and kitkat. You can try and download the downgrade transition pack and downgrade it to Lollipop, I to take mine back to Huawei repair centre where they had to change the motherboard for free after a serious argument lol.
Seems to be running smooth after 8 days of use, so far so good
