Steps to Root Xiaomi Mi Max on Android 6.0 Marshmallow

  1. Download the SuperSu zip file and then move it your device’s micro SD card.
  2. Once copying successful disconnect the device and turn it off.
  3. Now boot the device in recovery mode while press the buttons combination you’re using on stock recovery.
  4. In recovery first, perform Nandroid backup for a safe rollback in case anything goes wrong with you.
  5. Then tap the ‘Install’ tab on the recovery screen. Then browse and select the SuperSU Swipe to confirm and flash.
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions and then reboot the device.
