Preparation:

  • Take a complete backup of your important data on Samsung Galaxy A3.
  • Your phone should have more than 70 percent battery for the successful process.
  • Install Samsung USB driver on your computer. [here].
  • Enable USB Debugging Mod on Galaxy A3. Go to [Settings => Developer options].

Required:

Download Official Android 5.1.1 A310FXXU1APA1 build. [Download Link].

Download the Latest Odin tool. [Link].

Steps to Update Samsung Galaxy A3 to Android 5.1.1 Stock ROM:

Step 1: Download the official A310FXXU1APA1 firmware from above link.

Step  2: Once the file downloaded then extract on the desktop of your computer.

Step  3: Download Odin tool and run the .exe file.

Step  4: Now Switch off & boot your device into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down + Home + Power button at the same time. When you see a warning message then press Volume UP key to proceed the download mode.

Step  5: Now connect your Galaxy A3 smartphone with your Computer via USB data cable.

Step  6: In Odin tool, you should see “Added” message on the screen. It means that the device has been properly connected.

Note: Auto Reboot & F.Reset Options are checked in Odin.

Step 7: Now click on the AP button and load the .tar.md5 file that you have downloaded and extracted on your computer in step 2.

Step  8: Now click on Start to begin the installation process and wait for some minutes.

Step  9: Once the process finished, you will see a “PASS” message in Odin tool and the ID: COM port will become green.

Step  10: Now reboot your device and it will take more time than normal.

Step  11: Unplug the smartphone from your computer.

Congrats! Your Samsung Galaxy A3 is now updated to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop stock firmware.
