Pre-requisites:

  • Properly backup your important data on your Sony Xperia SP
  • Do charge your Xperia SP more than 70%
  • Install Sony USB driver on your PC [Click here]
  • Enable USB Debugging Mode on your device, navigate to [Settings > Developer options]
  • Your device must be rooted with latest Custom Recovery like CWM installed on it.

 

Steps tp Update Sony Xperia SP to Android 6.0 Marshmallow:

Step 1. Download the Android 6.0 Marshmallow CyanogenMod 13 ROM and Google Apps package on your computer.

Step 2. Now Connect your Xperia SP to the computer via USB cable.

Step 3. Now transfer the downloaded custom ROM file and Google Apps package to the internal storage of the device (root folder).

Step 4. Now disconnect your device from the computer and boot your device into the recovery mode, To do this press and hold Home Key + Volume Down + Power ON button for a while and a menu will appear to select recovery mode.

Step 5. Now Wipe all of the data from your device when the device is booted into the recovery mode and wipe factory data and factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache as well.

Step 6. Now select the ROM file from the SD card and flash it.

Step 7. The installation process will start after you confirm the installation and it will take few minutes to begin the Custom ROM installation.

Step 8. Now install the Google Apps package select the Gapps zip file from the SDcard and flash it. The flashing will take few minutes to complete.

Step 9. Once the flashing process done your device will reboot.

Step 10. Now your device will start normally and will take few minutes to reboot into normal mode.
